You will be pleased to know that the Lord Chancellor has approved the appointment of Reverend Juliet Jensen as Rector of Dursley, Uley, Owlpen and Nympsfield and known as the Ewelme Benefice in the Diocese of Gloucester.

We have also been informed by the Archdeacon's office that the licensing will take place in the afternoon on Sunday 1st September.

Thank you all so much for your prayers, and for your patience, as we have gone through the process of appointing a new rector. I hope you are all looking forward to this next period in the life of our Benefice."

Churches open for private prayer.

St Bartholomew's in Nympsfield and St Giles in Uley are both open during the week for private prayer and reflection.  Holy Cross in Owlpen is also usually open or a key can be obtained from the Estate Office.  Following further vandalism, St James in Dursley is normally only open between 9.30am and 12.30 am on weekdays and for scheduled services and events. It may be closed all day from 1st April to 5th April, although from 2nd April it might be possible to gain access by going to the office in the Parish Centre behind the church during the morning.. During school holidays we may have to keep the church shut, but it may be possible during  mornings to ask the Administrator in the Office in the Parish Centre (behind the east end of the church) to have it unlocked.

Details of services and events can be found on the Calendar.
